A guide, and what it earns

• New guide: choosing a website platform — a decision map for a first website, with the year-one and year-two cost of a site builder, a hosted store, WordPress and plain HTML, what the free tiers actually cap, and what each route costs to leave. It is the step that comes before the website launch checklist.
• Partner links now number four. Three were added to checklist items in August (moving house, apartment move-in/move-out, international travel packing); the fourth is in the new guide's site-builder section. Every one is labelled at the link, carries rel="sponsored", sits after advice that is free to act on, and is hidden when you print. The full list is on the privacy and terms pages, both re-dated today.
• No new external requests, no scripts and no cookies came with any of it. The site still loads nothing from anywhere but itself.

The workspace rebuild

Checklistor rebuilt from the ground up as a static, offline-first site — same address, same templates, much more tool:

• Multi-list workspace — keep every checklist in one place, with per-list and per-section progress.
• Sub-items, notes and due dates on any item; overdue and due-today flags.
• Share by link — the whole list is compressed into the URL; recipients save their own private copy. No server copy exists.
• New exports: CSV for spreadsheets and calendar (.ics) for due-dated items, alongside Print/PDF, Markdown and JSON.
• Paste-to-import — paste any plain-text or Markdown list and it becomes a structured checklist.
• Undo for deletions and bulk actions.
• Template pages are now real, fast HTML — tickable in place, printable, and readable by search engines.
• A bespoke “Ledger” design language (ink on paper, pen-blue marks, ledger numbering, a stamped completion seal) with a “midnight desk” dark mode — plus a full accessibility pass (WCAG 2.2 AA target).
• Checklists from the previous version are detected and restored automatically on first visit.

Original launch

First release: single-checklist maker, 30 templates, JSON import/export, Markdown export, print view and the embeddable widget.
