The service
Checklistor is a free, browser-based checklist tool. It is provided as-is: static pages that run entirely in your browser and store data on your device. No account is created and no contract beyond these terms exists between us.
Your content
Checklists you create are yours. Because they are stored only on your device, you are responsible for backing them up (Export → JSON) — we cannot recover lists lost to cleared browser data, device loss or browser issues, because we never had a copy.
Acceptable use
Don't use Checklistor (including share links and the embed widget) to distribute unlawful content, malware or spam, and don't attempt to disrupt the site or misrepresent shared checklists as authored by us.
Templates and content
Templates are general-purpose starting points, not professional advice. A home-inspection or emergency-preparedness checklist doesn't replace a qualified inspector or official guidance for your region.
Partner links, and how Checklistor earns
Checklistor is free and carries no advertising. Four links on the site are partner links, each clearly labelled: one on the moving house template and one on the apartment move-in/move-out template, both to 1-800-PACK-RAT; one on the international travel packing template to Faye; and one in the site-builder section of the choosing a website platform guide to Weblium. If you follow one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That is what pays for the hosting. Two of the four partners serve the United States only, and the link says so.
- The free advice always comes first, and is always genuinely free to act on.
- A partner link never changes what we write: not a checklist's items or their order, not which templates we build, and not the prices, caps or ordering in a guide. Nothing here is ranked or written to suit a partner.
- There is never more than one partner in any one place, and partner notes are hidden when you print or export.
Following one takes you to another company's site, with its own terms, prices and availability, none of which we control or guarantee.
No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the site, including data loss. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Changes
We may update the service and these terms; material changes are noted in the changelog with a new effective date here. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
